The post-conference volume is aimed at consolidating a
tradition that dates back to the very first MIC in 1995. We believe that the
publication of a high quality volume could constitute a nice summary of the
state of the art of the field. With this in mind, we would like to encourage
you to submit a contribution for the post conference volume, extending your
previous contribution and embedding all the insightful comments and remarks
you might have obtained at the conference.
Contributions to the post-conference volume will be peer-reviewed following
the normal standards as with previous volumes and will be published, as
chapters of a book published by Springer, as it has become tradition with the
first editions of the MIC.
In order to shorten the publication time, we would like to enforce the
following schedule:
- Deadline for submission: October 1, 2009
- Deadline for first round of review: October 30, 2009
- Decision sent out on the first version: November 9, 2009.
Format and Stylefile
The final volume will be published by Springer. Therefore, for the preparation of your camera-ready manuscript, we enforce the use of LaTeX with the corresponding Springer class file (available at
Springer Information Page or directly
here.)
However, in order to minimize your work during the first round of review, you can still submit your paper using the MIC 2009 stylefile and, after acceptance, re-submit the camara-ready manuscript using the Springer class file.
There are no specific limits in terms of paper length. However, we would like to ask you to extend the contribution presented at the conference, including comments and suggestions received during your presentation.
